Alok, 47, applies for a gun licence to help him deal with a property dispute with a thuggish neighbour who is trying to encroach on his inherited land. But when his teenage son Akshay secretly takes the gun to school and fires a shot in the air, the family finds itself facing a problem far more serious than the original dispute.

With the school reporting the incident to the police, Alok and his wife Prabha must now deal with the legal consequences while confronting a more troubling question — what happens when their son begins to cross the line into delinquency?
